I consider myself lucky !

Have been trying this one out the past 7 years . Again, not mine but I'm starting to wonder why the rightful owner doesn't really use it :-(. The drive is just fabulous, mainly because of the lightness. Almost as light as a Lotus Elise but so much more gr

I never drove one, I just read that it was super heavy. Some even made a comparative with the Alpine, and some tests, and what you wrote is in the same line than their opinion.

I was always attracted by this last one, though, for its engine and its lines. A strong and powerful design, with some sensuality. Now, I would not say that it is nicer than the Alpine. It is different, but not nicer. What you can compare with the A110 is

The possibilities electric cars offer…

In terms of torque vectoring, control, pivoting, etc. go way beyond what was possible with even the most advanced ICE cars. It will take a little while for all of this to trickle down but they are far away from reducing driving pleasure. Of course one can

Nico all phenomenal cars…

… my criteria was subtle enough to be a daily (no Ferrari), mid engined (so no 911s), slightly uncommon and reliable. Boiled it down to the Cayman GT4 (too expensive in Singapore), late year Lotus Elise (wife wouldn’t be caught getting in and

Lotus Elise Type 49.

From year 2000. Ot is said that only 135 were made. Minimalist as it should be. Dedicated to driving pleasure only. Best, Nicolas PS: Credit photos: Car and Classic.

The Renault was competitor to the 340R Lotus

I made a deal on one of these, put down a deposit, then Lotus HQ told the dealer to cancel the contract. They were negotiating with US EPA on something and didn’t want a “rogue” customer bringing one into the US. Lots of luxury, just like the Renault 😉 re
